Have/can you open the link in an alternative browser?
I wonder if it's a simple recognition issue with Avast, or if there's a little "bug" in GM's computer.......................
I am far from a computer guru, i can only tell you what i use and see. I use Mozilla Firefox for a browser, i run a utility called "no-script" as well as a tracker "blocker" called "Ghostery".
Ironically, when i click this link it is one of the very few times i can open a page with neither a single script or tracker attempting to load. I think the "FRD" link is exceptionally clean from what i can see.
Even hostboard tries to load a couple trackers, when i open the main page of this forum Ghostery instantly blocks trackers from google analytics, and facebook connect.

I have faced this type of problem once in a while, and the reason was to do with some type of self-unexecutable malware's presence or a similar type of entry in the registry file. I use XP, and had got it corrected by going for a full scan (the off line type, no net I mean) of my setup.Originally Posted by GM

the link works fine here. not at all sure what these proggies will do. but they sound like good stuff
I'll open it in a virtual machine which isolates your computer from malicious code.And see what happens.

I stopped using Firefox about 2 years ago.After they kept updating it with tons of bugs it just stopped performing the way I liked.I also tried Ghostery but after noticing a considerable slow down on my PC I uninstalled it.
I now use Opera which runs rings around it... If you like a fast browser try Opera.
I switched to Opera, but had issues with a lot of sites, so back to Firefox now. Doesn't seem quite as buggy. Yes was bad for a bit.

Agreed it is it's only problem IMO. I just recently had a problem with photobucket after they decided to change their software.It isn't supported in Opera anymore and I was a Pro account user so now I'm a Flickr Pro user.. Most of the sites I use or need are supported so it's not a big issue for me... YET !

Dunno, I've never had any problem before with this site regardless of which browser, AV program I was using, including the current AVAST freeware.
I was pleased with Firefox for years, then awhile back there was an update that caused it to slow the machine down to a crawl, so after un/re-installing it several times across several FF updates not resolving the issue I switched to Chrome, which until this morning has given me no problems.
I use XP Pro/SP2 and AVAST does a full system scan daily, but Chrome is normally on-line, so last night closed it and disconnected the DSL, but AVAST didn?t find anything.
That said, when I opened Chrome this AM after reconnecting the DSL, it caused the machine to re-boot!
Checking AVAST, I could find no indication it had found anything in the initial scan and Chrome loaded normally, so again tried the FRD link and now it loads the site and its various links, but in each case AVAST pops up that it?s blocking the 'doctorceme.ru' site.
